Pickleball Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Pickleball Pulse mobile application and website (the “Service”), operated by Robin Coleman (“Pickleball Pulse”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Account and Phone Verification
Accounts are created by verifying a US mobile phone number via a one-time passcode (OTP). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone and account. You may not share your account or use the Service on behalf of another person without their consent.
3. Court Check-In
The Service uses location verification to confirm you are physically at a pickleball court before recording a check-in. Check-in represents your actual presence at the listed court. Do not check in to a court if you are not physically present there.
4. Sessions and RSVP
You may create open-play sessions, invite others, and manage RSVPs through the Service. As a session host, you are responsible for your session and for communicating cancellations or changes to participants in a timely manner. Capacity limits are enforced by the Service.
5. Guest RSVP
Non-members may RSVP to sessions using a shared link. Guest RSVP requires phone number verification. Guests are subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy for data they submit during RSVP.
6. SMS Messaging
By providing your phone number and completing a phone-verified RSVP through a session link — after the SMS disclosure shown on the RSVP form — you agree to receive text messages from Pickleball Pulse related to sessions you have joined (reminders, cancellations, host messages). This is not marketing messaging. You can use the Service without SMS: browsing, in-app RSVPs, and push notifications never require it, and you can opt out of session texts at any time.
To opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any Pickleball Pulse text message, or go to Settings > Notifications > SMS in the app. You will receive one confirmation message after opting out and no further messages.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on session activity. Supported carriers include all major US wireless carriers; carrier support not guaranteed.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Location Data
The Service requests access to your location while the app is in use to power check-in features. You may deny location permission; some features (automatic check-in) will be unavailable. We do not access your location when the app is closed or in the background.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Check in to courts where you are not physically present
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Create sessions for non-pickleball purposes or spam
- Use the Service to collect data about other users without their consent
- Circumvent technical measures, including location verification
- Post false or misleading court condition reports
9. Court Data
Court data (locations, facility information) is provided for informational purposes. We do not guarantee accuracy. Always verify court availability and access rules directly with the facility.
10. Moderation
We may hide, remove, or restrict accounts that violate these Terms. Sessions with multiple independent reports may be automatically hidden pending review. We are not liable for content created by users.
11. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account) or at pickleballpulse.app/delete-account. Deletion is permanent. You may cancel a pending deletion request within 30 days by signing back in and tapping Cancel deletion in Settings > Account — signing in by itself does not cancel the request.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, court availability, or the accuracy of user-submitted information. Use the Service at your own risk and exercise judgment when visiting courts.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pickleball Pulse is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
